Corporate M&A on the rise Post the Financial Crisis
Max Wu joins as Director in the Investment Banking Division of Citigroup Global Markets Taiwan Ltd
Citigroup Global Markets Taiwan Ltd. announced today on May 3rd, that Max Wu has joined the company’s Investment Banking
Division as Director.
Under the leadership of Y.T. Du, Chairman of Citigroup Global Markets, Mr. Wu will focus on the investment banking business including domestic and cross-border M&A, and overseas debt and equity fundraising for Taiwanese corporates.

Mr. Du added that the addition of Mr. Wu is an indication that Citi has began to hire professionals post the financial crisis to expand its business. Taiwanese companies are becoming more active in the financial and capital markets, and the number of M&A transaction is picking up both in Taiwan and abroad. At this time especially, Citi needs key talents like Mr. Wu to join to continue providing high-quality and comprehensive services to clients.
Mr. Wu holds a master’s degree from The George Washington University, specialized in finance and investment. Mr. Wu has 15 years of experience in corporate finance and investment banking, and is a seasoned professional across corporate finance services, having assisted Taiwanese companies to list in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, accessed equity fundraising from the capital markets, and served as financial advisor to private equity funds in M&A transactions.
