e-reading to seize market and 3D imaging to catch the attention
According to market analyst DIGITIMES Research, the global shipment of e-book readers is expected to reach 9.3 million units in 2010. Since the main supplier of e-paper in the e-book industry being Taiwanese manufacturers like E Ink, SiPix and others, it has given them an opportunity to effectively integrate the entire supply chain of e-books and also to further the development of e-book related products for major global brands.

The Industrial Development Bureau, Ministry of Economic Affairs, has planned the e-Reading Pavilion to assist Taiwanese manufacturers seizing the core advantage of the e-books industry, including ASUSTeK, BenQ, New Kinpo, Delta Electronics, Inventec, Qisda, AIPTEK, Netronix, PhotonWealth, Stereo, Green eBook, HiAChieve Digital Technology, Koobe, Best Wise etc. The pavilion is divided into 4 categories, which are the "Taiwan's electronic reader industry chain", "Taiwan's electronic reader area", "E-book application display area", "Smart classroom". The real-life applications that are demonstrated will give buyers a closer look at what kind of solutions Taiwanese manufacturers can provide in the e-book industry.

In the 3D-Imaging pavilion that is planned by the Electronics & Optoelectronics Research Laboratories of the Industrial Technology Research Institute, major companies like CPT, Daxon, TECO, Chimei, XGI Technology, AIPTEK, DA2 etc. to demonstrate the various effect of different 3D imaging sizes. The goal is to attract overseas buyers and show the technological capability of Taiwanese manufacturers in the 3D-imaging market.

Win7 drives touch trend forward & All In One market opportunities in living rooms
As a result of the touch trend driven by Microsoft’s Windows 7, the first time creation of the Touch Pavilion has already attracted 12 companies to exhibit, including Tyco Electronics, Abon Touch, Mutto Optronics, Joyplux Technologies, Fortrend, WALTOP etc. They are not only exhibiting touch panels in different sizes, ranging from 3.5-inch to 42-inch touch panels, but are also exhibiting resistive, surface capacitive, projective capacitive, surface acoustic wave, infrared types of various touch technology and panel modules.
