upn-taipei news-electronic forum-2011-1-5-14-2010 Taipei WiMAX Summit Next coming Monday, 9am at Grand hotel 10F

Dear Members of the Press,

This is the 2nd time in just five years that IEEE has chosen Taiwan to host their session meeting. Having been chosen by IEEE to again host this event, shows Taiwan’s ability to be an even stronger contributor to international standard bodies. As the 16m standard is going to soon be finalized in Taiwan, this meeting represents the important role WiMAX plays in the up and coming 4G arena.

Having this opportunity, we have invited distinguished guests from IEEE to speak on topics ranging from future trends in machine to machine and 4G technologies. We are especially pleased to have Dr. Roger Marks to update us on the progress of IMT-Advanced.

Members of the press are cordially invited to attend. Requests for interviews with Dr. Roger Marks should be made to Tina Liao at tina0814@itri.org.tw.
