AMPA Innovation Awards recognize revolutionary applications
After fierce competition and critical evaluation, a total of six products were selected as the winners of this year's "Innovation Awards". They will be displayed in an assigned area when this event unfolds at NANGANG Exhibition Hall from April 12th to April 15th.
This will be a golden opportunity for both domestic and foreign buyers to explore the innovation and design capabilities the Taiwanese automobile industry offers.
Here are the winners…
LED Head Lamp with DRL by TYC Brother Industrial Co., Ltd.
The "LED Head Lamp with DRL", one of this year's award-winning products, was developed by TYC. It has obtained patents in Germany, France, and Taiwan. Its projector low-beam headlamp meets European Union's ECE R112 regulations, and its DRL meets R87 regulations. Featuring low power consumption and high luminous flux, this 6-watt "LED Head Lamp with DRL" can replace ordinary 55-watt high-beam headlamps. In addition, with its exquisite air-cooled forced circulation heat dissipation design, this TYC lamp guarantees over 6,000 hours of service life.
Crown-Shaped Wire Coil Springs by Yangmin Enterprise Corp.
The "Crown-Shaped Wire Coil Springs" developed by Yangmin has obtained patents in Taiwan, Germany, Japan, and China. The shape and size of this spring is designed using a special, optimized technology. Its flat section not only increases the spring's effective stroke but also distributes the stress uniformly along the inside of the spring. When used under the same circumstances, the "Crown-Shaped Wire Coil Springs" reduces weight from 5% to 10%. In addition, the crown-shaped wire is manufactured using a metal nanocrystal technology. The fatigue life testing shows that this spring can be compressed at least 300,000 times. Traditional acid pickling is not used during the manufacturing process, which makes this is an ecological product that does not cause environmental pollution.
Brushless DC Circulating Pump by Power Circling Co., Ltd.
This brushless DC circulating motor with a ceramic bearing, developed by Power Circling Co., Ltd., has obtained four patents in Taiwan and one patent in Germany. It saves 17.6% more power than other similar products, yet its price is only a quarter of that of the German product. As shown by experiments, the service life of this pump is more than 20,000 hours. It is suitable for the hot water circulation of an automobile heating system, the water circulation of an all-electric car's cooling system, solar hot water systems, and commercial air conditioning/heat pump systems. Power Circling's brushless DC circulating pump is strongly favored by European manufacturers.
Multi-Functional Accessibility Ramp Assembly for Vehicles by Red Heart Enterprise Co., Ltd.
Given the height difference between the floorboard of ordinary vehicles and the ground, it is very inconvenient for the physically disabled to get in and out of cars. In response to this problem, Red Heart Enterprise Co., Ltd. has developed its "Multi-Functional Accessibility Ramp Kit for Vehicles" to offer a fast, easy, and convenient way for the physically disabled to get in and out of cars. This accessibility ramp can be easily fitted to the rear door of a minivan. With the remotely-controlled power system newly developed by Red Heart, this ramp can be raised or lowered to load or release wheelchairs and passengers. In addition to being safe, convenient, and effort-saving, the ramp offers more motivation for the physically disabled to venture outdoors.
LED Door Safety Lamp by Just Auto Lighting Technology Co., Ltd.
The "LED Door Safety Lamp" developed by Just Auto Technology Co., Ltd. casts a high-brightness, high-intensity white light directly on where the passenger gets off. In addition to signaling to cars behind the parked vehicle, this lamp also helps the driver and the passenger to check the safety of their immediate surroundings when getting off. As a result, it provides them with an additional sense of security and a feeling of being valued. The Just Auto "LED Door Safety Lamp", with its white and yellow LEDs, consumes only 1 watt, and its service life can last up to 10,000 hours, which is approximately 10 times the service life of T5 incandescent light bulbs. This energy-saving LED lamp is composed of non-toxic, pollution-free ecological materials that meet EU environmental regulations. It differs greatly from incandescent light bulbs, which are sources of heavy metal pollution due to their mercury, lead, and cadmium content.
Driving Recorder by Shou Ie Industrial Group
The "Driving Recorder" developed by Shou Ie Industrial Group begins video recording as soon as the vehicle engine is started. The twin-camera models currently available on the market only offer the front and rear views, but the Shou Ie driving recorder is different. Its four-split screen simultaneously displays the front-, right-, rear- and left-view images in clockwise order. This enables the driver to get a precise picture of what is happening outside the vehicle.
The lens module comes in the embedded type and the clamp type, so it can be fitted into most car models. This recorder is also equipped with a GPS receiver for video-recording so that it can display the vehicle location in real time. It allows the user to play images, browse files, do a fast check of image location and display driving routes via Google Maps.
In addition, when the available SD card memory space is less than 10%, this Shou Ie driving recorder will automatically emit a warning beep to inform the user that new recordings will begin and old image files will be overwritten. The stand can be mounted on the front windshield with a suction cup. Being 360° adjustable at the horizontal level and 120° adjustable at the vertical level, this recorder is a powerful and flexible product.

The organizer of the TAIPEI AMPA and Auto Tronics Taipei will present the "Innovation Awards" to manufacturers who developed the above six products at the opening ceremony on April 12th. Meanwhile, to help every visitor gain a deeper understanding of these award-winning products, the organizer will also be holding a product launch presentation in Area M Lobby on the 4th floor of NANGANG Exhibition Hall. The first presentation will be presented to the winners of Taipei AMPA Innovation Awards. Visitors and media are all welcome to join the event.
