華山工藝精品館 盛大開幕
大師風華 經典再現
籌備規劃多時的「華山工藝精品館」於2010年2月5日於華山1914創意文化園區正式開幕。隱身於舊酒廠的華山工藝精品館，粗曠的工業建築線條揉合優雅質感的台灣工藝精品，實而不華地展現出台灣文化創意產業的軟實力。開幕當天不僅國立台灣工藝研究發展中心主任林正儀與台灣文創發展股份有限公司董事長王榮文出席致詞，現場還邀集台灣十多位工藝大師陳景林、謝嘉亨、許宗換、陳茂輝、蕭鴻成、易昭文、林新義、陳一中等工藝大師及勝利手工琉璃、三和瓦窯共同參與。
源自於生活需求的工藝品，被視為是銜接當代生活與傳統智慧的一條軸線。透過現代設計，結合創意，融入生活的實用美感，工藝提供一種富涵傳統人文價值並兼具美感生活方式。隨著美感經濟社會的來臨，以及大眾追求質感品味的生活，工藝不僅是台灣重要的文化資產，更具有發展文化創意產業的無限潛能。威泰創意秉持服務大眾的精神，於華山工藝精品館集結全台超過三十位工藝大師的經典創作，如黃振道、郭常喜、陳茂輝、廖勝文等，內容結合歷史與流行，如海角七號的琉璃珠飾、臥虎藏龍的青冥劍等，都是聚集生活、人文、藝術的菁華，創造出令人讚嘆的工藝經典。對這些工藝大師而言，工藝創作不僅要有個人想法，還需要有堅實技術做後盾，這樣才能享受製作過程所帶來樂趣。結合傳統工藝技術及現代科技表現，最後呈現兼具實用與觀賞的工藝精品，融合自然與美感，才能具體提升人們的美感生活品質。華山工藝精品館成為市民大眾與這些工藝大師相遇交流的平台，不需翻山越嶺也可以欣賞到大師們精湛高超的手藝，不需要花大錢也可以輕鬆擁有大師的作品。
無論是三和瓦窯的寧靜自在，琉璃的明亮剔透，或石雕的沉默堅毅，每個物件的角度弧線都烙印了創作者的性格與生活態度，像是我們的朋友，分化了生活中的繁重壓力與浮躁，不吝惜分享生命中的點滴美好。在華山工藝精品館，經得起時間焠鍊的不只是內涵，還有這些工藝大師對於創作的那份堅持。
Huashan Fine Crafts Boutique Grand Opening
The Reemergence of Masterful Elegance
After extensive planning, the “Huashan Fine Crafts Boutique” inside the Huashan 1914 Creative Park will finally open to the public on February 5th, 2010. Hidden inside the historic distillery, the boutique integrates rugged industrial architectural lines with delicate elegance found in Taiwanese fine crafts, and it acts as a great venue to display the boundless potentials of Taiwan’s cultural innovation. The following distinguished guests will be joining us on this special opening day, and they are: Director Lin Wen-yi of the National Taiwan Craft Research Institute, Chairman Wang Jung-wen of the Taiwan Culture-Creative Development Co. Ltd, and many master craftsmen, including Chen Ching-lin, Hsieh Chia-heng, Hsu Tsung-huan, Chen Mao-hui, Hsiao Hung-cheng, Yi Chao-wen, and Lin Shin-Yi.
Crafts have originated from needs that have sprung from daily life, and are viewed as an important axis that connects contemporary life with traditional wisdom. Through modern designs, innovation, and practical aesthetics that could fuse with life, craft offers a balanced juxtaposition of traditional values with aesthetics suitable for the user’s lifestyle. With the trend of incorporating aestheticism with consumerism, and the public’s pursuit for a better quality life, craft is not only an important cultural asset for Taiwan, it also embodies a limitless prospective for the cultural innovation industry. Huashan Fine Crafts Boutique has invited over 30 master craftsmen, including Huang Zheng-dao, Kuo Chang-sih, Chen Mao-hui, Liao Sheng-wen, and many others to bring to the boutique works that incorporate history with popular culture, as seen from the glass bead accessories in the hit Taiwanese movie, “Cape No. 7”, and also the jade sword from the movie, “Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon”. Works by these master craftsmen are inspired by life, humanity, culture, and art, and these inspirations are refined to result in amazing fine crafts. For these craftsmen, their creations not only incorporate their personal ideas, they are also supported by their solid skills, which also help to make their creative journey joyfully enjoyable. The presentation of traditional craftsmanship with modern technology comes to produce fine craft goods that are practical, functional, and aesthetically pleasing. The fusion of natural and beautiful elements is what would help to improve aesthetics that are fit for everyday living. Huashan Fine Crafts Boutique intends to become an interactive platform for the public with these master craftsmen. People no longer have to travel afar to enjoy these skillfully produced works by the masters, and these fine crafts are also affordable as well.
Here in the Huashan Fine Crafts Boutique, one would be able to enjoy simple and tranquil San-He tiles, pristinely sparkling colored-glass works, and solid and unyielding stone sculptures; the details of each piece are imprinted with its creator’s personality and attitude towards life. Like a friend, each piece intends to aid in relieving the burdens and stress from the daily bustling life, and will share generously wonderful aspects from life that should be enjoyed. Inside the Huashan Fine Crafts Boutique, the substance and more importantly, the determination of each of the master craftsmen will withstand the test of time.
