台北國際電腦展在2003年面臨SARS嚴重急性呼吸系統綜合症帶來的艱難挑戰,當時台北巿電腦公會將實體展覽和專業線上虛擬平台緊密結合,推出3D產品線上瀏覽功能,很多參展商把他們的產品放在網站上,供國際買家如親臨展覽般地選購產品及下單。從此www.computex.biz成為展前國際買家必看的虛擬平台,更可在展前一個月預先聯絡供應商,進一步洽詢有興趣的產品。

今年四月一日,www.computex.biz推出了Computex.biz 2.0版,吸引更多互聯網的使用者,例如:YouTube、Facebook、Twitter、digg、delicious。Computex.biz 2.0透過RSS部落格更快速地提供資訊並建立不同的社群。

2009年全球經濟持續低迷,但台北國際電腦展在參展家數及使用攤位數都再創新局。在四月二日舉行的展前記者會中,主辦單位外貿協會及台北巿電腦公會公布最新的展覽規模,共計1,700家廠商參加,使用4,600個展位。預計將吸引35,000名海外買家前來參觀。主辦單位表達對台北國際電腦展高度的信心,預估展覽帶來的採購商機將達美金200億。

插頭寶寶首次在2004年台北國際電腦展現身,立刻引起海外買主對台北國際電腦展的正面印象,讓插頭寶寶朝向插頭家族發展。一年後,插頭寶寶和它的新夥伴插頭女寶寶共同攜手在台北國際電腦展展位及展館中和國際買家有良性的互動,讓電腦展增添了不少親切的形象。此外,插頭寶寶擔任www.computex.biz大使,期許將台灣資通訊產業推動到全球。

After thirteen years, the www.computex.biz has accumulated more than 10,000 products news and 4,000 valid companies, which in 2008 attracted more than 3.6 million unique visitors while accessing over 22.8 million web pages.
