Wishing to promote tourism along with cultural and industrial developments, the Miaoli County Government has put much effort in planning the International Musical Firework Tournaments and International Art Festival Serial Events, which, with the title “Legendary Nights, Sparkling Mountains,” starts from September 29th until October 27th. The Miaoli County Magistrate Cheng-Hung Liu sincerely welcomes overseas Chinese to visit Miaoli for the spectacular firework shows and art performances. 歡慶光輝10月，101年國慶煙火10月10日將在苗栗縣後龍鎮高鐵特定區施放，為帶動觀光、文化及產業發展，縣府自9月29日至10月27日舉辦「山中傳奇•璀璨光華」國際音樂煙火節邀請賽及國際藝術季系列活動，縣長劉政鴻歡迎僑胞到苗栗賞煙火、看表演。 Since August 31st this year, the Miaoli County has already held a two-day firework evening party called “Splendidly Spectacular, Romantic Fireworks Forestalled” in order to warm up for the National Day’s firework activities. The party includes not only musical firework shows but also amusing art performances by well-known musicians and artists. Over 6 millions of people attended the party, making the following International Musical Firework Tournaments and International Art Festival Serial Events more tempting and promising. 為國慶煙火系列活動暖身，苗栗縣政府首先在8月31日舉辦為期兩天的「繽紛燦爛 浪漫煙火搶先看」晚會，除有知名藝人演出，並安排音樂煙火施放，現場有6萬人共同觀賞，也更令人期待國際音樂煙火節邀請賽及國際藝術季系列活動的到來。 Lasting for five weeks from September 29th to October 27th, the International Fireworks and Art Festival have 5 local firework teams and 10 international firework teams for its firework tournaments. With the international tournaments being held twice a week, totally there will be 11 thematic musical firework shows during the whole festival. Famous international and local artists will give their performances in each event’s large-scaled art shows.
