TAIEX Increases by Approximately 2.12% this Week, while the Total Market Capitalization of the TWSE-listed Stocks Reached 24.26 trillion NTD. According to the statistics of TWSE, TAIEX closed at 8,305.03 on October 2, 2015, up 172.68 from last week's (September 25, 2015) 8,132.35, an increase of approximately 2.12%. The FTSE TWSE Taiwan 50 Index closed at 6,127.11, up 131.96 from last week's 5,995.15, an increase of approximately 2.20%. The Formosa Index closed at 9,605.70, up 203.41 from last week's 9,402.29, an increase of approximately 2.16%. The total trading value for year-to-date on the TWSE market was 17.16 trillion NTD. The total market capitalization of the TWSE-listed Stocks amounted to 24.26 trillion NTD at the end of this week. (The above information is preliminary statistics.
